Zeugma (noun):
A literary device of using a word which applies to two others of which it semantically suits only one. For example, "With weeping eyes and hearts."
I discovered this playing Words With Friends, when I made a random mix of letters and it worked! Which, I must admit, is often how I get by. Haha :)

Ward 2B. (Or not 2B?)
Hi all :) Sorry for the lack of posts these past four days, but I was actually in hospital which is a reasonably reasonable reason if you ask me. I'm fine now though, so thumbs up! Seriously though, hospitals are terrible. Wait no, let me rephrase that... Hospital food is terrible. And channel choice! Oh my goodness. I am thankful, however, for all their help over the time that I was there... The nurses were so sweet! :)
Now I know I shouldn't be complaining about the TV, but honestly, thank goodness for the Frasier marathon playing all weekend... Really helped me fall asleep!
But the food is a serious issue in my eyes. I mean, I was on the drip for 2 days (torture!) but then when I could eat, I was served food that practically came out of a can! Aren't they supposed to be helping their patients, not making them even more sick?!
My weekend...
Hours spent in "emergency" waiting room: 2
Total hours spent in hospital: 63
Needles endured: 12
Hours without food: 42 (felt like a lifetime!)
Chocolate eggs eaten in hospital since given permission to eat: 9
Times I beat Anthony at games he brought: All times (hehe)
Times Anthony dropped Hang Man pieces across the floor: 2
Number of gross meals: 3
Number of awesome meals brought to me by loved ones: 4 :)
Times I had to be woken up in the middle of sleeping by nurses: 4956328! (approx)
Title credit to Mum for making fun of the ward name. Haha :)

Some popular ones.
For today, I thought I'd just feature some of the highest viewed posts on Passionately Curious :) Lazy? Perhaps. But I promise something more in depth will come soon :) Enjoy.
The poison. - So I'm attempting to mend my broken things. To face people you've wronged is difficult though...
The meaning. - Passionately Curious comes from a quote of Einstein's actually; "I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious"...
Masking our fear. - My grade's actually quite funny. We're all acting as if everything is okay on the outside, but I think we're all just masking our fear at the moment...
People are interesting. - Sitting here at my desk, I have a second level vantage point to the houses across the park from me. Particularly "Barry." Well, to be honest, I've never actually met him, and nor do I know his real name...
Just let go. - Why, if we are so filled with excitement, passion or happiness, can't we dance like crazy in public? All those peering eyes shouldn't count for a thing. To hell with it!...
The recent me. - When I was younger, I wanted to grow up to be the pink Power Ranger...
Great expectations. - A lot of the time, we're basing our decisions on what people expect of us. Or even, what we expect them to expect of us...

Oh, Diana!
| Gotta love spontaneous blurring and unexpected focus. |
Now, I usually don't go for digitising film photography, but I've talked about film and analogue photography a bunch of times in this blog (including Film. and Shout out to film!) and so thought I'd share with you one of my favourite shots from my first roll of 120mm film, using my beloved Diana F+
I finally had it developed, and some of the shots came out a bit blurred or over-exposed. And that's part of the reason I love my Diana so much!

Online shopping. Ew.
Does anyone else go through this? Everytime I buy something online from overseas, something has to go wrong. Whether they've sent me the wrong product, left pieces out, sent the wrong colour/size, or have just taken over 2 months just to send me something small!
Talking to others about it has made me realise how it may just be me. It's totally a conspiracy against Australia Post and FedEx, I know. But do you blame me? Everyone else seems to love online shopping; it's easier, it's cheaper, more variety... and they find it annoying if it only arrives towards the end of the 14-21 day delivery guarantee. Come on, people! I'm not asking for sympathy, don't get me wrong. I just need to vent my frustration.
Ergh. I sound like I take these things for granted, don't I? I mean, in the past we used to wait for weeks just for a letter to be delivered, and I'm complaining that it takes too long for something to come all the way across the world? But these are the expectations they place on themselves... including the expectation that they'll send me the right thing for that matter!
See what I mean? Shopping in reality is so much easier. You buy something and Bam! It's in your hands, nothing more to it.
